BILLET

Billet is where UTV Inc started and it is still most of what we make. Nearly everything in this collection is cut from 6061 aluminum on our own machines in Mesa, Arizona — mirrors, whip mounts, tube clamps, dash plates, light mounts, shift handles and the small brackets that hold a build together.

Billet costs more than a cast or stamped part and it is worth it where the part takes a load. A machined 6061 bracket does not flex the way sheet metal does, it does not crack where a casting would, and the finish holds up to sun, sand and pressure washing. Every dimension is cut, not poured, so a 1.75" clamp actually fits 1.75" tube.

We design from what we learned running vehicles in the desert: parts fail at the mount, not in the middle. That is why our clamps use full-wrap billet housings and why our mirror arms are thicker than they strictly need to be.
